A Design Day With Alice

We’ve very excited to have been contracted to do another corporate holiday party for one of our favorite clients. The theme this year is “Alice In Wonderland”…with a twist! Not your typical Disney characters. Not your well-know Tim Burton characters. Instead, the client has connected us with Chicago artist David Csicsko to do some graphic illustrations of the famous characters. It’s our job to transform his two-dimensional images on paper into a larger-then-life, dramatic burst of fun for the party. So it’s a couple days developing a plan, and designing the pieces that will need to be custom built here in our shop. Keeping everything as true to the drawings as possible – from keeping proportions accurate to picking paint swatches that match!!! All the while converting them into scenery pieces suitable for the Park West… and one of our favorite clients!
