A New Kind Of Graduation

As all graduations across the world demand reinvention, we were honored to be engaged by the New Trier PTO Graduation Committee to help reimagine their graduation ceremony.

With a new “socially-distant” mandate placed on all graduation ceremonies for Spring 2020, the New Trier PTO Graduation Committee had to reimagine their ceremony to meet the criteria set by the Governor. It was still important for the students to be honored for their achievements – while staying safe & socially-distant. No large gatherings or congregating for these graduates. Instead it was an ongoing parade of New Trier High School graduates passing through.

We designed an entrance arch to welcome & celebrate the students and their families as they drove through the parking lot. The high school’s colors were featured as they drove under the arch flanked with flags & balloon towers.

As they approached the center of the drive, each graduate hopped out of their car to go up onstage to receive their diploma… and snag a quick photo-op! Then it was back in the car to keep the procession moving.
