With the NATO Conference coming to Chicago, and a special reception coming to Navy Pier, we decided to utilize a special backdrop for the stage. With delegates arriving from all over the world, we wanted to make sure that Chicago was well represented in the decor. What better way to represent Chicago in all its splendor than with a large graphic backdrop? Well, it would be better if it all lit up!! And it did…
The photographic image was printed onto a special fabric that illuminates nicely from behind to give the illusion that all of the lights of the night sky are lit up. The Chicago Skyline makes the perfect backdrop for speakers like Mayor Rahm Emmanuel.
Buffet stations were created around the room with large photographic images flanked
with thematic floral arrangements. With good lighting, the stations really popped!
Other buffets stations were created with focal points dedicated to other Chicago
landmarks – such as the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel, Wrigley Field, Buckingham Fountain
and now landmark “Cloud Gate” sculpture by Anish Kapoor… aka The Bean.
