Part of the fun of Winter WonderFest is letting the kids go explore & play in a safe holiday environment. Part of that fun is interacting with the “residents” of Winter WonderTown. With the help of the Ivan Carlson “Elves,” this magical village pops up for just a few weeks every year. The kids will be greeted by Mayor Burl Evergreen and the rest of the folks who inhabit the stores along the street. Interactive holiday fun for everyone! So stop by today, or anytime through January 12th, 2014 for some festive holiday fun at Chicago’s Navy Pier.
If you time your visit right, there’s even a good chance that you might find Santa sitting in the gazebo in front of his house. The perfect photo-op for your holiday cards!
While you’re visiting Winter WonderTown, be sure to stop by the Train Depot. A quick round-trip ride on “The Reindeer Express” will take the kids on a train journey all around Winter WonderTown and past some of the North Pole Shops and Santa’s House.
It’s always fun for the Ivan Carlson crew to watch this huge holiday transformation happen in just ten days. The large, empty & cavernous Festival Hall gets transformed every year into its holiday splendor with the hard work of many crews, trades & talented hands! Lots of buildings to build, garlands to decorate and ornaments to hang.
Making holiday magic happen!
